Episode 2
Nowadays, getting back control of a market that has for a long time been out of the EU’s hands - namely, the data and the technological market in general - is now a core priority of the Union. Both a defensive and offensive strategy are needed, with the aim to defend the user’s privacy and data from external power’s interference on one hand, and the will to set a general, European standard, on the other. Several steps were made during the recent years, especially by initiative of the European Commission, but the path to reach a proper European Digitial Sovreignty is still long and full of obstacles.
Here with professor Joanna Bryson we discuss about the challenges and the future of the concept of European Digital Sovereignty.
Guest: Prof. Joanna Bryson, PhD - Hertie School

Episode 3
In today's episode, with our guest, Dr. Christian Freudlsperger, we discuss the direction towards which the European Union integration is headed, by analyzing the patterns and the dynamics of the unprecedented recent crises the EU had to face.
Those crisis highlighted the limits and defects, but sometimes have been the only opportunity to act in a compact way and to advance important reforms that have, paradoxically, led to further strengthening of the EU authority. Since 2008 the EU governance has been in permanent crisis mode, and this dynamic had only led the member states to a further integration. How and why?
Guest: Dr. Christian Freudlsperger, Postdoctoral researcher in the European Politics Research Group, as part of the ERC-funded project “Bordering Europe: Boundary Formation in European Integration” (EUROBORD).

In today's episode, we take a look at how the Council of Europe works, and in particular at its most famous and atypical body: the European Court of Human Rights. We also discuss the implications and symbolism of Russia's departure from this organisation.
